Alex Guarnaschelli

Guarnaschelli is the daughter of the cookbook editor Maria and John Guarnaschelli. Barnard College awarded her a diploma in art history in 1991. She was employed in the American Place restaurant for one year , earning the minimum wage , from 1991 until the year 1991. Guarnaschelli began her career in the culinary field by helping her mother to make a number of dishes and editing cookbooks. Guarnaschelli first learned to cook by Larry Forgione, whose son Marc Forgione is Iron Chef Marc Forgione. She then worked at several restaurants throughout France, New York, and Los Angeles including Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. Prior to joining Butter as their executive chef, Guarnaschelli worked at the restaurant of Daniel Boulud at his eponymous restaurant. Prior to its closing, she was the executive chef of The Darby. Chairperson of the Museum of Food and Drink's Culinary Council. In 2013, her first book was released. "Old-School Comfort Food": The Way I learned to cook" blends personal details and the most loved recipes from her professional life which she modified for her home. Alex Alex Alex
